For this Schumann recording Sol Gabetta teamed with her closest friends to deliver the best possible recording.

Gabetta recorded the cello concerto with the excellent Kammerorchester Basel under Giovanni Antonini, a dream team for this music as they deliver a new and fresh view on this piece, inspired by historically informed performance, combining modern with old instruments.

For the chamber music part of this recording Sol teamed with wonderful French pianist Bertrand Chamayou, with whom she already recorded the highly acclaimed The Chopin Album for Sony Classical.
