From Monday 25th September 2017, medici.tv, the world’s leading classical music channel, presented a week dedicated to young talented pianist Lucas Debargue. Every night at 8 p.m. there was a concert showcasing the rising star, who first attracted international attention in 2015 at the International Tchaikovsky Competition in St. Petersburg. Three of his solo recitals will be on show, as well as a more recent concert with works by Liszt, Shostakovich and Messiaen from the Verbier Festival earlier this year.

The highlight of this spotlight week was the live stream of Lucas Debargue’s concert at Louis Vuitton Foundation in Paris, featuring parts of his new album - which will be released October 27th - as well as one of his own compositions for piano trio. The concert took place on Friday 29th September, and is now available on demand until October 29th 2017. In addition to the concert nights, medici.tv offers an exclusive preview of a very interesting and profound documentary by Debargue’s friend Martin Mirabel, „Lucas Debargue: To Music“. He accompanied and filmed the artist over several years creating an all-embracing picture of the artist, and also his way of thinking about and forming music.
