CROSSOVER NEWS
Fantasies and Delusions: First Classical Solo Piano Compositions from Billy Joel - In Stores Now!!
Billy Joel
has been known for the better part of three
decades as a master of American pop. But he is
also known as the "Piano Man," and even from
the earliest days, Mr. Joel honed his keyboard skills with
great classical teachers, including maestro Morton Estrin.
Now Columbia Records and Sony Classical present
an album of Joel's music for solo piano, Fantasies and
Delusions. Recorded in Vienna this past spring, Joel's
compositions are performed by award-winning pianist
Richard Joo. The album is available in both CD and
SACD formats. Visit the site:

Mark O'Connor
is hitting the road with the Metamorphosen Chamber Orchestra on a thirty-concert tour.

Hilary Hahn writes from the Finger Lakes Region
The five skinny lakes in the central area of New York State
are called the Finger Lakes. Hilary writes this time from
Skaneateles where she was performing at a festival toward
the end of the summer. Bach, Mozart, waterskiing and
a little problem with left and right make for a very
entertaining postcard from the road.
