New Titles on Super Audio CD
Super Audio CD represents a revolution in the way digital data is recorded and played back. Using a whole new approach to digital recording, SACD recreates every detail of the atmosphere, nuance, and space surrounding the original music source, making it the world's most sophisticated high-fidelity audio format. New releases now available include Dvorák's Symphonies Nos.8 and 9 "From the New World", and Dvorák's Symphony No.7 with works by Smetana, both from the Cleveland Orchestra with George Szell.
Mahler: Symphony No.2
Seiji Ozawa conducts Japan's Saito Kinen Orchestra in Mahler's Symphony No.2 "Resurrection" on a new double CD recorded live during special Millennium performances in Tokyo during the first

SOUNDTRACKS NEWS
Chocolat -- Music from the Motion Picture
The Chocolat soundtrack is in stores now with original music by Rachel Portman. Chocolat has received four Golden Globe nominations including Best Picture, Best Score, Best Actress (Juliette Binoche) and Best Supporting Actress (Judi Dench). The film also stars Johnny Depp and Carrie-Anne Moss.
Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon
Director Ang Lee's new film has been nominated for three Golden Globe Awards, including Best Picture and Best Foreign Language Film, and composer Tan Dun's music was nominated for Best Score. The soundtrack album features cellist Yo-Yo Ma and international singing sensation Coco Lee.
All the Pretty Horses -- Music from the Motion Picture
Now in theatres, All the Pretty Horses was directed by Billy Bob Thornton and stars Matt Damon and Penelope Cruz. The Golden Globe nominated soundtrack hits stores next week with original new music by Marty Stuart -- hear soundclips online!

Billboard reports that Sony Classical was the Number One combined classical recording label for the year 2000, the fourth time in five years the label has topped the charts. Thanks and congratulations to our excellent artists for this achievement.
