CLASSICAL NEWS
Murray Perahia: Chopin Etudes: BBC Pick of the Month
"Murray Perahia has waited a long time to record the two complete
sets of Chopin studies and the wait has certainly been worth it.
Perahia approaches the pieces, so that they accumulate as an
emotional experience, not just as a physical marathon."
-- BBC Music Magazine, Pick of the Month (November 2002)

Salvatore Licitra Featured in 2002 VANITY FAIR Music Issue
"His honey-toned, bell-clear tenor resembles the master's (pick
any one of the franchised Three Tenors), while still retaining enough
youth for us to enjoy its progress into maturity."
-- Vanity Fair, November 2002

CROSSOVER NEWS
NEW RELEASE: Aselin Debison: Sweet is the Melody
Already becoming a household name in Canada, twelve-year-old
singing sensation Aselin Debison first made headlines at the age
of eight in her native Nova Scotia at an impromptu recital at a
mining rally. The performance brought tears to the crowd's eyes
and a new voice of a generation to a national television audience.
Her debut album Sweet is the Melody was crafted under the
expert guidance of producers Peter Asher (Cher, Bonnie Raitt,
Dixie Chicks, 10,000 Maniacs) and George Massenberg (Garth
Brooks, Aaron Neville, Carly Simon) and features the stirring
anthems, "Rise Again" and "To Say Goodbye To You," plus
radio-friendly tracks "Moonlight Shadow" and Travis' "Driftwood."
The CD also features a video of "Driftwood" shot live in Cape
Breton, Nova Scotia during the taping of Aselin's upcoming
PBS TV special.

"Sony has a winner with this baroque fiddler, Carmignola. He's
a good looking guy -- a tall, dark, bearded Italian; what's not to like?
-- and he plays an equally sexy baroque violin. If Carmignola and
Marcon had been around in the '60s, Vivaldi wouldn't have got that
reputation for writing "wallpaper music."
