Ax & Bronfman -- First E-Piano Competition
When asked by his friend Alexandar Braginsky to judge a global piano competition, Yefim Bronfman said, "I would like to, but I don't have time. Why don't you bring the competition to me? Why don't you use the Internet?" And the first e-Piano competition was born, featuring such renowned judges as Yefim Bronfman and Emanuel Ax. Read about it on Andante.com.

2002 FIFA World Cup Anthem by Vangelis
And speaking of World Cup music, Vangelis, composer of scores including "Chariots of Fire" and last year's Mythodea has composed the official anthem of the 2002 FIFA World Cup. Reflective of the Asian environment of the games, and the emotion behind the sport, Vangelis has created a moving and hypnotic oriental melody. Ryuichi Sakamoto -- Casa -- August 20
Come back soon to hear the Bossa Nova of legendary Brazilian composer Tom Jobim (&GIRL FROM IMPANEMA&) as played by Sakamoto and friends. An unforgettably sultry album that recalls the work of Getz and Gilberto. Expect heavy rotation.

Sakamoto on Casa:

"The work this time was to record the music of Jobim on the very piano Jobim had in his home, with the Morelenbaums, the couple who had made music with Jobim for 15 years when he was alive. Paolo Jobim, Jobim's eldest son, added his violao on two tracks. Jobim's spirit sighed here and there in the house."
