The 2002/2003 season marks the 20th anniversary of Midori's
professional debut and the 10th anniversary of her music education
foundation, Midori & Friends. Highlights, announced at a press
conference in Tokyo on February 18th, include appearances, special
projects and residencies in Japan, the U.S. and Europe, recordings of the
Mendelssohn and Bruch Violin Concertos with the Berlin Philharmonic
and Mariss Jansons, full-length documentaries on Japanese and German
television and a book filled with photographs, reflections and tributes to be
published in Germany. More detailed information will appear shortly on
