SAINT PAUL CHAMBER ORCHESTRA Mozart: Violin Concertos Nos.1, 2 and 3 Pinchas Zukerman
|
Mozart: A boy and his violin One part of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's floor show as a child musician was to play not only upon the keyboard, but on the violin as well. These early works -- not that we can call any of Mozart's work "late" -- show a boy who knows his instrument inside and out, as if to say, "Vivaldi? Been there, done that. Let me show you what I can do." For this recording, Pinchas Zukerman and the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra show what they can do, as they perform the Concertos for Violin & Orchestra No.1 in B-flat Major, K.207; No.2 in D Major, K.211; and No.3 in G Major, K.216.
