Miramax/Dimension films presents The Others starring Golden Globe winning actress Nicole Kidman (To Die For, Moulin Rouge) and produced by Tom Cruise. The Others is the American film debut of 28 year-old writer/director Alejandro Amenábar, a talented new filmmaker whose first two films have garnered rave reviews in his native country, Spain. His second film, Open Your Eyes, is being re-made in English starring Tom Cruise and directed by Cameron Crowe. The multi-talented Amenabar has also written the score for the film which uses impressionistic motifs to depict the spine-tingling intersection of the spirit world with the world of childhood innocence and the agitated emotional state of the mother.
