"He's incredibly exciting. Volodos has everything. Listen... and be amazed."
 Los Angeles Times

This new recording captures the excitement of pianist Arcadi Volodos' acclaimed interpretation of the Rachmaninoff Concerto No.3 in D minor for Piano and Orchestra, Op.30 with James Levine conducting the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra.

The new CD also includes Volodos' own transcription of the Andante from Rachmaninoff's Cello Sonata and other Rachmaninoff solo piano works. Like Volodos' acclaimed Live at Carnegie Hall CD (SK 60893), the listener will again be blown away by Volodos' breathtaking technical mastery; his brilliant and eloquent musicianship.

Throughout Europe and the United States, Volodos has won praise for his performances of Rachmaninoff's Third Piano Concerto. Following a performance of the concerto in New York, the New York Times wrote that Volodos "made the piece seem no trouble at all... Mr. Volodos is a phenomenon; he is also a singer in what he does at the keyboard. His control at extreme speed is amazing."

Volodos made a powerful first impression on the music world with his award-winning debut recording (SK 62691), a disc of transcriptions that instantly had critics comparing him to Rachmaninoff and Vladimir Horowitz. Volodos' live performances and recordings continue to win acclaim and fans.
